In Q1 2024, the top 5 Travel and Local apps in Costa Rica exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights the key metrics for Airbnb, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel, Google Earth, Volaris, and Mobile Number Locator.

Airbnb saw a decline in weekly downloads from 10.1K at the beginning of January to a low of 3.8K in late February, but it rebounded slightly to 4.9K by the end of March. Weekly active users also showed a downward trend initially, decreasing from 63.7K to 49.2K by early February, before stabilizing and ending the quarter at approximately 55.5K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, starting at 5.6K and dipping to a low of 2K in mid-February, before climbing back to 3.3K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users decreased from 81K to around 61.5K by mid-February, but saw a resurgence to about 66.1K by the quarter's close.
